Decided to make something without a pre-written pattern. It's a simple vest for my baby with checkers in the front and a plain back. Cos it's my first, I want to play safe. So far the back is easy, was able to calculate my knitting guage, translate it to the number of cast on sts and i'm making upward progress.
Proud of myself!!!!

Ok now I've had to drop this to get some other jobs done and I'm not too happy about that. will have to keep this on hold till i'm free again.
